This dark little cabin had no foundation and was slowly being reclaimed by the ferns and woods of Inverness. Its owner called for help. “I want it to be light inside, and warm, and dry” she said.

With collaboration from a renowned Berkeley architect, DBA developed structural and design solutions for cabin and auxiliary structures that kept the character of the original buildings and celebrated their relationship to land. The redesigned envelopes now lets light and air into structures that stay dry and cozy inside.
