Sea Ranch

Sea Ranch lore has it that William Turnbull Jr., one of the founding visionaries of the coastal development 2 hours north of San Francisco, slept under the stars here in his sleeping bag in order to work out proper siting for this house above Black Point.

4 decades later, new owners hired TGH (Turnbull Griffin Haesloop) to upgrade and modernize the building while preserving the sprit of the original design. The ethos of building in collaboration with land is what hooked DBA. Our experience with this project continues to inspire us.
